What polyaspartic offers
Polyaspartic is a polyurea coating that cures in hours instead of days. It is UV-stable, so it will not yellow in sunlight, and it is flexible enough to handle temperature changes. For busy households, the biggest benefit is speed: most garages can be finished in a single day.
Why it suits this climate
Hot, sunny summers mean garages and patios take a lot of UV. Polyaspartic holds its color and clarity where standard epoxy would yellow. It also handles the heat from tires and sunbaked slabs. In cooler months, it continues to cure well, so we can install year-round.
One-day installs
We arrive early, test moisture and grind the slab. Cracks are repaired with fast-setting fillers. The base coat goes down, flakes are broadcast if chosen and the excess is removed. A clear polyaspartic topcoat finishes the floor. Walk on it by evening and park the next day in most cases.
Compared with epoxy
Epoxy builds thickness affordably and bonds well, but cures slowly and yellows in UV. Polyaspartic cures fast and stays clear but costs more and requires an experienced crew due to its short working time. Many of our floors use both: epoxy for the base and polyaspartic on top.
Where we use it
- Garages that cannot be out of service for long
- Covered patios and loggias
- Pool cabanas and outdoor kitchens
- Retail and restaurant floors needing quick turnaround
Finishes
Clear over flake, tinted solid colors or quartz broadcast. Gloss or satin. Anti-slip additives for wet areas.

Hosting and holidays
Families often want the garage finished before a gathering, a holiday or the arrival of relatives. Because polyaspartic is so fast, we can often fit a project into a tight window. The garage can be cleaned, coated and back in use within a day or two, ready for extra parking, a party overflow area or holiday storage.
Santa Ana winds and scheduling
On gusty fall days, wind can blow leaves and dust into a wet coating. We watch the forecast and keep doors partly closed during application, using fans for ventilation. Polyaspartic's fast cure shortens the window when debris can land on the surface, which is another reason it works well here.
Long-term value
A polyaspartic topcoat resists abrasion and chemicals, so it keeps looking good for years. When it eventually dulls, a scuff and recoat restores it without redoing the base. That makes it a cost-effective choice over the life of the floor.
Covered loggias and porches
Many homes have covered outdoor rooms with fireplaces and furniture. Polyaspartic flake or quartz floors handle the outdoor exposure, resist fading and stay easy to sweep after leaves blow in. Lighter colors keep the space cooler on hot afternoons, and the coating can wrap onto steps for a seamless transition.
Why one-day matters
Busy households cannot always empty a garage for several days. Polyaspartic systems let us grind, coat, add flakes and topcoat in a single day, with walk-on use that evening and cars back in about a day later. For families with tight schedules, this speed is often the deciding factor.
Sun and fading
Garages with west-facing doors get strong afternoon sun. Standard epoxy can yellow in this light, but polyaspartic stays clear and color-stable, keeping your floor looking new year after year.
Warranty and care
We explain exactly what our workmanship warranty covers in writing. Care is simple: sweep, rinse and use a mild cleaner. Avoid dragging sharp metal objects, and place pads under kickstands and jack stands. With this basic care, a polyaspartic floor keeps its gloss and color for many years and resists stains from oil, salt and pool chemicals tracked in from the yard.
